Kings Community Empowerment Centre is a community based in Kenya,  Ongata Rongai sub-estate 21Kilometers from Kenya’s capital city Nairobi. The community was started in the year 2005 with a feeding program to young disa-advantaged children coming from poor  families  in the sprawling Kware slums of Ongata Rongai  by Mr. & Mrs. Rev Paul Ngie.

The feeding program expanded to include an education and training centre as most of the children were from extremely poor families, most of them living by siblings, relatives or guardians. Some of the children were coming from families where either one or both parents died of HIV/AIDS and the surviving parent/ guardian couldn’t to provide a meal on their table of a daily basis leave alone afford school fees for this children.

The situations of this children was so dire and bad that it moved the hearts of Rev Paul Ngie and his wife to setup a centre to educate this children and train them at tender ages of life skills in lie with their background. Therefore the feeding was expanded to incorporate primary education, a 2meal feeding program and spiritual oversight of these children. Together with well wishers and friends the centre was raised.

Kings community empowerment centre was thus founded with the mandate of: Empowering Disadvantaged children training them on life skill and creating Awareness in the community concerning Family sustainability. This is in line with the word of God in James 1:2(7 Religion that is pure and undefiled before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction and to keep oneself unstained from the world RSV)

This centre is not supported or funded by any church nor is it affliliated to any denomination, its fully dependent on Well wisher and donors for its operations and sustainance.
